To Be Frank Photography is Bendigo’s first award winning pet photography service. Established in 2022 and named after my own soul-dog, Frank. To Be Frank has now photographed over 200 dogs, cats, horses, even rabbits.

  • I don’t put a strict time limit on any of my pet photoshoots. Though, typically, most shoots go from 1 to 2 hours.

This is because pets might need time to get to know me. They might be anxious around new people, want to sniff and run around or might want to get pats from me first.

The worst thing I can do is pressure an animal to sit still in an environment that might be exciting or scary for them. I’d rather them get to know me, the camera and the area before we take some super cute photos!

  • A regular pet photoshoot costs $200.

If you have multiple pets, the first animal is $200 and every animal after that is $100 (ex. 3 dogs would cost $400).

End of Life photoshoots do not have a cost.

  • I am located in Bendigo (Djaara Country) but do offer sessions Victoria wide with a travel fee.

  • Almost anywhere.

I have a selection of lovely public parks and gardens but can also do select house calls for terminally ill and nervous pets.

All cat photoshoots are done in your home.

  • OBVIOUSLY!
You are the one your pet loves the most and what better way to capture that love than to have photos together?

  • This is not a problem at all. I will contact you before the photoshoot to get an idea of your pet’s personality. This is also why I do not put time limits on my sessions.

We can take the session really slow and I can even fill my pockets with treats and toys.

But in all truth, dogs tend to be a good judge of character - they know that I am a dog person and after photographing hundreds of furry friends; I haven’t yet met a dog that hasn’t warmed up to me.

  • An ‘end of life’ photoshoot is a free-of-charge session for your animals who might be nearing the rainbow bridge.

Whether they are extremely elderly or have received a terminal diagnosis; these sessions are the most important to me and are a priority. I will always try my best to lock in your session as soon as possible so that we can capture some beautiful portraits.

While these sessions break my heart, they also fill my cup with so much love and joy. I always take these sessions slowly and quietly as they can also be quite emotional.

  • While it can be a challenge, I’m not a quitter and I do have lots of tricks in my back pocket to get that perfect photo.
